Ms. Ridal was a copy editor and a page designer at two publications, The Charlotte Sun-Herald and The Bradenton Herald. She has worked on newspapers since she was in high school. She is in her 7th year teaching. During her first year as advisor for the Macohi, Manatee High School’s student newspaper, she helped her staff win best student newspaper in the county as voted by The Bradenton Herald. At Doctors Charter School in Miami Shores, she started the school’s first student publication; her goal is to start a student newspaper at Somerset Academy in 2010.
